Resale and value, honestly

A lab-grown stone holds the same certified grading as a mined one — how that translates to resale is still a developing, less established market than for mined stones.

A diamond or gemstone's certified grading — cut, colour, clarity, carat, origin — doesn't change after purchase, and that grading is what any future buyer or appraiser will look at first, on a grown stone exactly as on a mined one.

Where things differ is the secondary market itself: mined diamonds have a long-established resale and trade-in infrastructure; the market for reselling lab-grown stones specifically is newer and less standardised, and we'd rather say that plainly than imply otherwise.

If resale value is a significant part of your decision, it's worth raising with us directly before you order — we're happy to talk it through rather than let you assume.
